Change in the Foundation Board
On the 30th of May 2022, Henri des Déserts resigned from the Foundation Board of the Limmat Foundation due to his age. He has been a generous supporter of the foundation for 18 years. His rich experience as a banker, his commitment to Christian values and his sense of social projects, especially because of his long experience in Africa, were always greatly appreciated. The president paid tribute to his commitment and, on behalf of all, wished him all the best for his new phase of life. Jean de Skowronski was newly appointed to the Foundation Board. After completing his MBA at INSEAD, the lawyer held management positions in banks for years and now works as a lawyer in Geneva as well as Lausanne. With the Order of Malta, he has been involved with the Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem and is the President of Church in Need Switzerland since 2019. The Limmat Foundation is extremely pleased to welcome Mr. de Skowronski to its Foundation Board. In connection with the Limmat Foundation’s 50th anniversary, which it celebrates in 2022, some changes in the area of communication are ahead. Therefore, the new year starts with a milestone: The Limmat Foundation is on social media now! The presence on social media pursues the goal of making interested people aware of the Limmat Foundation and its worldwide projects, as well as to inform them about the news. 50 Years of Limmat Foundation
Since the 13th of March 1972, we have kept the bridge between donors and beneficiaries alive thanks to many supporters. Over 1000 projects in 81 countries have been successfully implemented. With the 50th anniversary of the Limmat Foundation as the oldest umbrella foundation in Switzerland, we reach an important milestone in our history this year.
