PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The Limmat Foundation distinguishes itself from many other umbrella foundations by its offer of project management. Through its long experience, it has built a reliable network of local partners as well as national and international donors.

In selecting projects, the Limmat Foundation focuses its development work on the following areas:

– Education / training of children and adolescents

– Training of educators

– Securing income and jobs, e.g. through microfinance loans

Since the Limmat Foundation was founded in 1972, more than 1000 projects have been implemented in more than 80 countries with the support of over 300 local partners and a total volume of more than CHF 300,000,000. The main beneficiaries are children, students and women.

With selecting the projects comes the evaluation process which is divided into three parts:

Via impact measurements the projects are evaluated during and after their term to analyses the influence of the projects on the beneficiaries as well as to make improvements if necessary. This step of the project management is very important for the Limmat Foundation.
