The Limmat Foundation was established in Zurich, Switzerland,
on March 13, 1972, and was recognized as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
The foundation is active both in Switzerland and abroad, endeavoring to stimulate,
encourage and support initiatives which serve the common good. It realizes
its own projects and collaborates with individuals and/or institutions on
other undertakings to achieve mutually desirable ends. The Limmat Foundation
has neither a political nor a religious character.
The Limmat Foundation is a bridge between rich
and poor, north and south, between donors and needy beneficiaries.
Strategy of the Limmat
Foundation: «If you teach a fisherman
to teach others to fish, you can feed a whole community for life.»
